The WD0019 was created as one of our Premier-series dive watches, with more attention given to movement grade, finishing, lume and overall execution.
After the first batch reached customers, we also received useful feedback from owners and the watch community.
Some of it confirmed what we liked about the watch. Some of it showed us where we could do better.
So we made changes.
Improved Hand Lume
The most common feedback from the first batch was the difference between the lume on the hands and the large 3D hour markers.
After checking the production process, we found that the lume powder used for the hands and indices came from different sources. This resulted in a visible difference in brightness and color.
For current production, the hand lume has been adjusted using lume material sourced to better match the dial indices.
The result is brighter hand lume and a much closer visual balance between the hands and markers.
LumeCore X on the WD0019
The WD0019 uses our LumeCore X luminous system.
LumeCore X features approximately 0.8mm raised luminous markers and is designed to provide around 8 hours of visible glow under suitable charging and viewing conditions.
The thicker 3D construction is not only about brightness. It also gives the dial more depth and creates one of the WD0019's most recognizable design features.
We kept that character while improving the hand lume around it.
More QC Checks Before Shipping
We also received a small number of reports about marker alignment on early watches.
Rather than continuing to ship existing stock, we paused and rechecked the watches.
Current WD0019 production goes through additional visual and alignment inspections before shipment, including projection inspection during QC.
No inspection process can make every mechanical watch absolutely identical, but the goal is simple: catch more inconsistencies before the watch reaches the customer.
ST2130 V-Grade — Selected from the Start
The movement itself has not been changed.
The WD0019 uses the Sea-Gull ST2130 V-Grade, the highest grade standard we use for this movement.
It runs at 28,800 VPH / 4Hz, with 28 jewels, hacking, hand-winding and approximately 39–40 hours of power reserve.
The higher beat rate gives the seconds hand a smoother sweep, while the sapphire exhibition case back lets the movement remain part of the experience.
We chose the V-Grade ST2130 because the WD0019 was intended to sit above our standard automatic models in movement selection, finishing and overall specification.
What Hasn't Changed
The changes were meant to refine the WD0019, not redesign it.
The core formula remains the same:
- 39mm stainless steel case
- 47.5mm lug-to-lug
- 12mm thickness
- ST2130 V-Grade high-beat movement
- LumeCore X 0.8mm 3D luminous markers
- Sapphire crystal with AR coating
- Matte ceramic bezel
- Sapphire exhibition case back
- OTF adjustable clasp
- 200m water resistance
The compact proportions, strong lume and clean brushed finishing are still what define the WD0019.
Why We Share Product Updates
We pay attention to what customers say after a watch launches.
Not every comment means a design needs to change, but when feedback identifies something we can genuinely improve, we would rather make the adjustment than ignore it.
That is especially important for the Premier collection.
The WD0019 is one example of how we want to develop Watchdives products going forward: release the watch, listen carefully, check the details and improve where it makes sense.
The current WD0019 reflects what we learned from the first production batch.
