Choosing a Tactical Frog solar chronograph is a finished-watch decision, not just a choice of movement. Four current listings use the VS75 / VS75B solar quartz family, but the case dimensions, listed thickness, strap width and available colors are not identical.
This guide compares four models sold by Watchdives. It is a catalog comparison, not a hands-on test or a ranking of all solar watches. Specifications, USD prices and purchasable variants were checked on October 7, 2026. Each model had at least one available configuration. Prices below exclude shipping, taxes and import charges and can change.

Four Tactical Frog solar chronographs compared
| Model | Listed movement | Case diameter | Lug-to-lug | Listed thickness | Band width | Available watch price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| VS75 Solar Chronograph | VS75 | 41mm | 49mm | 12.5mm | 20mm | $189 |
| VS75 V2 | VS75 | 41mm | 49mm | 12.5mm | 20mm | $179 |
| VS75B 62MAS Chronograph | VS75B | 41mm | 49mm | 13.9mm | 20mm | $189 |
| VS75B GS Chronograph | VS75B | 43mm | 50mm | 13.9mm | 22mm | $189 |
All four listings specify a 316L stainless-steel case and bracelet, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, a ceramic chronograph bezel and stated 200m water resistance. These shared features do not make the watches interchangeable. In particular, a chronograph bezel should not be assumed to provide unidirectional dive-time operation, and a stated water-resistance rating does not establish formal dive-watch certification.
Choose by wrist footprint before dial color
The original VS75 Solar Chronograph and V2 share the same listed dimensions: 41mm diameter, 49mm lug-to-lug and 12.5mm thickness. The 62MAS version keeps the 41mm width and 49mm length but lists 13.9mm thickness, a 1.4mm increase. The GS version is 43mm wide, 50mm long and 13.9mm thick, with a 22mm band rather than 20mm.
If you already know a 49mm lug-to-lug watch is too long for your wrist, none of these listings establishes a smaller alternative. If thickness is your main concern, start with the original or V2. Compare these measurements with a watch that already fits; bracelet end-link geometry and your wrist shape also affect fit. The listings do not explicitly label every thickness measurement as crystal-inclusive, so this guide preserves their wording rather than treating them as independently measured total heights.
Original VS75 versus V2: what the checked listings establish
The original model had white, Meteorite and coral blue configurations available at $189. Its black configuration was unavailable at the check. V2 had white and Gray configurations available at $179; sunray brown and sunray blue were unavailable. The available V2 price was $10 lower, with the same listed case dimensions and movement name.
These records support a price, fit and available-color comparison. They do not by themselves establish improved finishing, better accuracy, a revised clasp or a universal “upgrade.” Calendar layout should also be confirmed from the exact dial photograph and product option rather than inferred from the version number. Open both product pages when that feature is essential to your choice.
62MAS versus GS: thickness and width change the decision
The 62MAS chronograph had Sunray silver color and White options available at $189. The GS chronograph had Black and Deep Green available at $189. Both listings identify VS75B, but GS has the larger case and wider band.
Choose between these two by case shape, diameter, strap width and the actual dial you prefer. A larger case does not establish a larger power reserve or better timing performance. At the same listed price, the differences are chiefly in the finished-watch configuration supported by the listings.
Solar charging is a separate ownership question
These are solar-powered quartz chronographs, not automatic mechanical chronographs. Epson’s VS75 manufacturer page identifies 1/5-second chronograph timing and six months of power storage. Those are movement specifications, not a promise that every watch will keep running indefinitely in a dark drawer.
For charging behavior, published accuracy and operating guidance, use our existing VS75 solar chronograph movement guide. Solar charging avoids routine disposable-battery replacement, but it does not mean the watch can never require service. Follow the exact watch instructions and avoid heat exposure when charging.

Need titanium and fixed strap bars instead?
The four steel-bracelet models above are not the whole Tactical Frog solar range. The FX-Diving 42mm Titanium VS75B Solar Chronograph is a separate alternative with a titanium case, fixed strap bars and a fabric strap. Blue and White variants were available at $199 in the same check.
Its listing gives 42mm case diameter without crown, 50mm overall width including crown and 14.2mm thickness including crystal. The 50mm figure is not a lug-to-lug measurement. Its bidirectional rotating ceramic bezel and strap attachment also differ from the four steel-bracelet watches, so choose it for those features rather than treating it as their titanium equivalent.
Before ordering
First choose the case footprint and listed thickness. Then choose the exact available dial, confirm the band width and calendar layout, and check the delivered total at checkout. All four checked watch-only prices were below $200, but that does not guarantee a delivered order below $200.
Browse the Tactical Frog collection for the wider range, or compare other chronograph watches. The VK63 chronograph collection is a separate option if you want a conventional battery-powered meca-quartz design rather than solar charging.
Frequently asked questions
Which has the smallest listed case?
The original, V2 and 62MAS versions all list 41mm diameter and 49mm lug-to-lug. Original and V2 are thinner on the listed figures: 12.5mm versus 13.9mm for 62MAS.
Is V2 automatically better than the original?
The current listings do not establish that conclusion. They share listed dimensions and VS75 movement, while available colors and checked prices differ. Choose the exact configuration that meets your requirements.
Can the same strap fit all four?
The original, V2 and 62MAS list 20mm band width; GS lists 22mm. Width is only the first compatibility check, so confirm the attachment and end-link details before buying a replacement.
