Slim Automatic Watches Compared: Total Thickness, Fit and Features

For a slim automatic watch, compare the WDC0001 Premier for its compact bracelet format, the Cronos L6038 for a lower-priced patterned-dial option, or the Thorn T016 for a smaller case on leather. Their listed thicknesses range from 10.15mm to 10.9mm, including the crystal. The useful choice depends on case shape, bracelet or strap, dial layout and price as well as height.

This is a specification-based comparison of three watches sold by Watchdives, rather than a hands-on fit test or a ranking of the whole market. Specifications, selected-option prices and availability were checked on October 9, 2026. Prices are in USD before shipping, taxes, duties and checkout-specific promotions, and can change.

Selected available configurations and seller-listed dimensions
Model and selected option Listed price Thickness including crystal Case / lug-to-lug Automatic movement Supplied band / stated water resistance
WDC0001 Premier — Musou Black $459 Approx. 10.2mm 39mm case / 44.2mm lug-to-lug Miyota 90S5, no date Steel bracelet / 100m
Cronos L6038 — Gray Black / Perlage Pattern / 90S5 $268 10.15mm 39mm case / 44mm lug-to-lug Miyota 90S5, no date Steel bracelet / 100m
Thorn T016 — standard configuration $189 10.9mm 34mm excluding crown / lug-to-lug not specified PT5000 Leather strap / 50m

All three selected listings explicitly include the crystal in these thickness figures. They are published specifications, not standardized physical measurements. The small difference between the two bracelet watches does not establish a noticeable fit advantage. The WDC0001's separate 36mm measurement is its bezel diameter; the T016's 37mm measurement includes the crown.

WDC0001 Premier: a compact bracelet automatic

The WDC0001 combines a 39mm stainless-steel case, 44.2mm lug-to-lug length and approximately 10.2mm total thickness. Its sapphire exhibition caseback lets you view the automatic movement, while the front also uses sapphire with colorless anti-reflective coating.

The bracelet uses screw links, quick release and fully articulating end links. Consider this package if you want a bracelet watch with a relatively short stated case span and a choice of date display. The available Musou Black at $459 uses the no-date Miyota 90S5. The Forest Black MOP at $459 uses the Miyota 9015 with a date. Both were available at the check.

For the background on its proportions and bracelet, read the WDC0001 Premier design story. For movement details, see our Miyota 9015 vs 90S5 guide.

Cronos L6038: a lower-priced patterned bracelet option

The L6038 offers a different dial and bracelet design at a lower listed price than the WDC0001. Its 39mm case and 44mm lug-to-lug length are close to the WDC0001's stated dimensions. The listing specifies 10.15mm including the glass, sapphire front and exhibition back, and 100m water resistance.

The selected Gray Black / Perlage Pattern / 90S5 option was $268. Perlage Pattern and Rhombus Pattern versions use the no-date 90S5; Hourglass Pattern versions use the date-equipped 9015. If a date matters, the available Blue / Hourglass Pattern / 9015 option was $299.

Confirm bracelet sizing and any extra-link requirements before ordering the watch. The listing gives a 13.5mm lug width; when considering another band, check the exact replacement attachment because a nominal width alone does not prove compatibility.

Thorn T016: a smaller case on leather

The T016 was available at $189. Its listed case measurement is 34mm excluding the crown, and its leather strap is 18mm wide. The PT5000 automatic movement, polished steel case and domed sapphire crystal make a different package from the two bracelet watches.

Read its two thickness figures carefully: 9mm excludes the crystal; 10.9mm includes it. Use 10.9mm when comparing the complete watch. The product listing does not supply a lug-to-lug measurement.

Choose it if the smaller case and leather-strap format appeal to you. Its stated compromises include no lume, a steel caseback rather than a display back, and a 50m water-resistance rating. Those details may matter more to your choice than a fraction of a millimeter.

Thickness and everyday fit

When checking a slim automatic watch, start with the complete height including the crystal. A movement's height or a case measurement that leaves out a domed crystal answers a different question. Then compare the case dimensions, strap or bracelet setup and shape with a watch you already wear comfortably.

These three watches have listed total heights above 10mm. Their specifications cannot guarantee clearance under your particular shirt or jacket cuff. Case shape, how the watch sits on your wrist and the clothing itself affect that result.

Start with the WDC0001 for its compact bracelet package and available date or no-date configurations, the Cronos for a lower-priced patterned bracelet watch, or the T016 for its smaller case and leather strap. Browse our Automatic Watches collection for more options, then recheck the exact configuration, current availability and checkout total before ordering.
