Is the ML08 Green a quartz alternative to the Seiko Alpinist?

If you like the Seiko Alpinist SPB121J1’s green dial, gold-tone numerals and cathedral-style hands but prefer quartz, compare the ML08 Green on nylon or Green on a steel bracelet. These date-equipped versions use battery-powered Ronda 515 quartz, not VH31, solar or automatic movements. They have a date window but no compass ring or date magnifier. The SPB121J1 offers an automatic movement, rotating inner compass ring and magnified date, with a listed 20-bar rating versus the ML08’s 10 bar.
