Authorization Required Contact us for the correct return address and written instructions before sending anything back. |
Statutory Rights Protected Mandatory consumer rights take priority where local law provides greater protection. |
1. Scope
This policy applies to retail products purchased directly through the Watchdives official website (watchdives.com). It explains change-of-mind returns, exchanges, refunds, limited product warranties, and repair services.
Products purchased through AliExpress, Amazon, another marketplace, a dealer, or another third-party seller should first be referred to the original seller. Wholesale, OEM, ODM, sample, and other business orders are governed by separately agreed written terms.
Pre-owned, display, accessory, custom, clearance, and special promotional products may have different return or warranty conditions. Where the product page clearly displayed product-specific terms at the time of purchase, those terms apply to that product, but they do not exclude or restrict any mandatory consumer rights.
Delivery delays, packages lost in transit, packages marked delivered but not received, customs clearance, and failed delivery are addressed in our Order & Delivery Issues and Shipping, Duties & Taxes pages. This policy only retains delivery-related rules that are directly connected with return shipments, transit damage, incorrect items, or missing contents.
2. Contacting Watchdives
Before requesting a return, exchange, warranty service, or repair, please contact service@watchdives.com.
Please provide your order number, order email address, product model, a clear description of the issue, and relevant photos or a short video. Depending on the claim, we may reasonably request timekeeping records, a repair quotation, packaging photographs, or other supporting information.
Do not send a product back before receiving return authorization and the correct address. Watchdives uses multiple return and service locations, and the correct address may differ from the original shipping address. An unauthorized return or a package sent to the wrong address may be delayed, refused, or returned. This procedural requirement does not remove any mandatory legal rights.
3. Change-of-Mind Returns
3.1 Return Period
For a change of mind, an unsuitable style or size, a duplicate purchase, or another non-defect reason, you may submit a return request within 30 calendar days after the carrier records the product as delivered. If the tracking record clearly differs from the actual delivery date, please contact us so that we can verify it.
After receiving return authorization, please normally dispatch the product within 14 calendar days and provide the tracking number. If it is not sent within that period, the original authorization may expire and you may need to contact us again. For split shipments, the return period is calculated separately for each delivered item.
Product defects are not limited by this 30-day voluntary return period and are handled under the Warranty & Repairs sections of this policy.
3.2 Reasonable Inspection and Return Condition
You may inspect a product in a manner broadly comparable to what would normally be permitted in a physical store, including checking its appearance, briefly trying it on indoors, and testing its basic functions.
For a change-of-mind return, the product should remain as close as reasonably possible to the condition in which it was received, including the following:
No extended wear, outdoor use, or normal day-to-day use;
The bracelet has not been shortened, had links removed, or been permanently resized;
Leather, rubber, fabric, and other close-contact straps do not show pronounced buckle marks, bending, perspiration, stains, or odors;
The case, crystal, bezel, clasp, bracelet, and other surfaces have no new scratches, impacts, or wear;
The original packaging, manuals, labels, tools, spare links, promotional gifts, and other included items are complete.
We recommend removing protective films, resizing the bracelet, or wearing the product for an extended period only after deciding to keep it. Removing a protective film does not automatically make a return ineligible. However, any resulting scratches, wear, or loss in value may affect the refund.
Using a clasp’s built-in tool-free micro-adjustment, without damaging the product, is not treated as permanent resizing.
3.3 Diminished Value and Deductions
After the return arrives, we will inspect the product, packaging, accessories, and promotional gifts. Where handling goes beyond reasonable inspection or the customer has caused a reduction in value, a reasonable deduction may be made where permitted by applicable law. This may include:
Necessary inspection, cleaning, repackaging, or reconditioning costs;
The actual replacement cost of missing packaging, tools, links, accessories, or gifts;
The actual reduction in value caused by scratches, wear, stains, odors, or other signs of use.
For an accepted change-of-mind return, deductions for minor signs of use or missing packaging or accessories will normally not exceed 15% of the amount paid for the product. Any deduction will be based on the actual loss and will not be charged automatically simply because a protective film was removed.
If a product shows extended wear, severe scratches, impacts, contamination, odor, damage, or modification and can no longer reasonably be resold, Watchdives may reject the voluntary change-of-mind return where permitted by applicable law. Before processing the refund, we will explain any inspection finding, deduction, or refusal.
This section does not limit claims involving a manufacturing defect, a product that is not as described, or any other statutory quality right.
3.4 Products Excluded from Voluntary Returns
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the following products are normally excluded from Watchdives’ voluntary 30-day return service:
Bracelets that have been shortened, had links removed, been modified, or suffered visible installation damage;
Leather, rubber, fabric, and other close-contact straps showing pronounced buckle marks, bending, perspiration, stains, odors, or other signs of wear;
Custom products after work has begun based on the customer-approved design or specification;
Products clearly marked “Final Sale” or “No Voluntary Returns” before purchase, but only to the extent that applicable law permits that exclusion.
These exclusions do not apply to an undisclosed manufacturing defect, an incorrect product, a custom product that materially differs from the approved specification, or any other right that cannot legally be excluded.
3.5 Return Shipping and Original Delivery Charges
For a change-of-mind return, the customer normally pays the cost of sending the product to the assigned return address and should use a tracked and appropriately insured service.
Refunds of original delivery charges are handled according to the order circumstances and applicable law. Additional amounts paid for express, upgraded, or other delivery services above the standard option are normally non-refundable, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If the return is caused by a confirmed manufacturing defect, a Watchdives fulfillment error, missing contents, or transit damage, we will provide an approved return method or confirm in writing the permitted service and maximum reimbursable amount before shipment. Unapproved express or high-cost shipping may not be reimbursed beyond a reasonable amount.
3.6 Return-Transit Responsibility and Customs Declaration
When the customer arranges a change-of-mind return, the customer normally bears the transit risk until the carrier records successful delivery to the assigned return address. Once delivery is recorded, Watchdives will register and inspect the return within a reasonable time. If tracking shows delivery but the warehouse cannot locate the parcel, we will review the proof of delivery, address, and carrier investigation before determining responsibility.
For an international return, declare the parcel truthfully in accordance with local law and carrier and customs requirements. Where applicable, identify its nature as “Returned Goods” or “Return Merchandise.” The product description, return purpose, and declaration information must be accurate. Duties, clearance charges, penalties, or return costs caused by an incorrect or false declaration may be deducted from the refund.
4. Exchanges and Product Issues
4.1 Non-Defect Exchanges
Subject to availability and compliance with the change-of-mind return conditions, a customer may request another color, version, or model. The customer normally pays return and reshipment costs and must pay any price difference or will receive any applicable difference back. To reduce processing time, Watchdives may recommend returning the original product for a refund and placing a new order.
4.2 Incorrect, Incomplete, Damaged on Arrival, or Defective Products
Please contact us promptly if you receive the wrong product, an incomplete order, an item damaged in transit, or a product that does not function correctly. To help preserve warehouse and carrier evidence, we recommend reporting an incorrect, incomplete, or transit-damaged order within 7 calendar days after delivery. A later report does not automatically remove any mandatory legal rights.
Once the issue is confirmed, we will consider the nature and severity of the problem, product condition, repair feasibility, stock availability, and applicable law, and may provide one or more of the following:
Troubleshooting or operating guidance;
Replacement parts or accessories;
A locally arranged repair approved in writing;
Return-to-service-center repair;
Replacement with the same product or a product of comparable function and value;
A partial refund;
A full refund.
Where permitted by applicable law, we will normally offer a remedy proportionate to the issue and capable of restoring normal use within a reasonable time. Where a product cannot reasonably be repaired, the same fault recurs, a core function is seriously affected, or the issue qualifies as a major defect under applicable law, we will assess replacement or refund options. Store credit will only be used with the customer’s agreement.
5. Refunds
5.1 Refund Processing Time
After the returned product has been registered, inspected, and the refund amount confirmed, Watchdives will normally initiate the refund to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Banks, card issuers, and payment platforms may require additional time to post the funds. PayPal refunds are often displayed sooner.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise or the original method is unavailable, refunds are issued to the original payment method.
5.2 Refund Amount
Where a return satisfies the applicable conditions and no lawful deduction applies, we will refund the amount actually paid for the product and handle standard delivery charges as required by applicable law.
If original packaging, tools, spare links, promotional gifts, or other included items are missing, or the product has suffered a reduction in value, a reasonable deduction may be made based on actual replacement cost or actual loss in value. We will identify the deduction.
Where an order used a bundle discount, order-value promotion, gift offer, or another promotion, a partial return that causes the retained items to no longer qualify may result in the refund being recalculated according to the products retained and the disclosed promotion terms. This calculation will not reduce any minimum refund required by law.
6. Limited Product Warranty
6.1 Warranty Period
Unless the product page clearly stated otherwise at the time of purchase, a new Watchdives-branded watch purchased through the Watchdives official website includes a 24-month limited commercial warranty beginning on the actual delivery date.
Commercial warranty periods for third-party branded watches and other third-party products are determined by the product page shown at the time of purchase or the accompanying brand warranty documentation. If published warranty information conflicts, the more favorable term displayed at the time of purchase will apply.
Warranty or functional-coverage periods for pre-owned, display, accessory, clearance, and special promotional products are governed by the applicable product page and the relevant sections below.
A warranty claim requires a valid order number or other information that allows us to verify the sales channel and delivery date. Unless the product page stated otherwise, the remaining limited-warranty period may transfer with the product, but a later owner must provide verifiable original order information.
A repair or replacement part does not shorten the remaining original warranty. A complete replacement product is covered for the remainder of the original warranty or 90 days from delivery of the replacement, whichever is longer, unless local law provides a longer period.
6.2 What the Warranty Covers
This limited warranty covers functional problems confirmed to result from a material, manufacturing, or assembly defect during normal use. Depending on the product, covered issues may include:
Abnormal movement failure or an electronic or solar charging-system defect;
Hands, markers, dial components, or other internal components becoming detached abnormally;
A manufacturing fault affecting the crown, stem, winding, time-setting, or calendar mechanism;
A GMT, chronograph, or other advertised function failing because of a manufacturing defect;
A manufacturing defect in a clasp, bracelet connection, or structural component;
Water ingress confirmed to result from a case, crown, seal, or assembly defect when the watch was used correctly and within its stated water-resistance rating;
Another material, manufacturing, or assembly defect confirmed by Watchdives or an assigned service provider.
6.3 Warranty Remedies
For an eligible warranty issue, Watchdives will consider the fault, repair feasibility, parts supply, stock availability, and applicable law and may provide repair, replacement parts, product replacement, a partial refund, or a refund. A minor issue that can reasonably be restored through repair or parts replacement will normally be handled that way first.
If the original model, color, or part has been discontinued, we may offer a part or product of comparable function and value. Store credit or another substitute remedy will be offered only with the customer’s agreement.
6.4 What the Limited Warranty Does Not Cover
Unless mandatory local law provides otherwise, this limited commercial warranty normally does not cover:
Normal wear and aging, scratches, dents, impacts, coating wear, bronze patina, or natural material changes;
Normal depletion or deterioration of consumable components such as batteries, gaskets, leather straps, and rubber straps;
Damage caused by dropping, impact, crushing, magnetism, chemicals, extreme temperature, fire, or another external event;
Failure to follow operating instructions, including forcing the crown, adjusting the calendar during a restricted period, or incorrectly operating a GMT or chronograph function;
Water ingress caused by an unsecured crown, use of pushers underwater where not supported, hot water, sauna, steam, rapid temperature change, impact, or use beyond the stated rating;
A fault or damage directly caused by unauthorized disassembly, lubrication, regulation, modification, repair, or incompatible parts;
A lost or stolen product, or a product not purchased through the Watchdives official website or the original purchasing channel;
A cosmetic or functional condition clearly disclosed before purchase for a pre-owned, display, or imperfect product.
Using third-party repair services or parts does not automatically cancel unrelated remaining warranty rights. However, where third-party work changes the product condition, directly causes damage, or makes the cause of the claimed fault impossible to determine reasonably, further inspection may be required and the resulting issue may not qualify for free warranty service.
6.5 Warranty Procedure and Shipping Costs
Do not disassemble, modify, or arrange a repair before receiving written guidance from Watchdives. A local repair must be approved in writing before work begins, and a quotation may be required.
For a confirmed covered issue, Watchdives pays the covered repair or replacement-part cost. Shipping costs are normally handled as follows:
A manufacturing defect, incorrect item, missing contents, or transit damage confirmed within 30 days after delivery: Watchdives provides or pays reasonable return and reshipment costs;
A claim made more than 30 days after delivery but within the commercial warranty: the customer normally pays to send the product to the assigned service location, while Watchdives pays for the approved warranty repair and standard return shipping;
Where applicable law requires a cost-free repair or replacement, Watchdives will bear the reasonable costs that the law places on the seller;
Where the customer must pay first, Watchdives will confirm the service and maximum reimbursable amount before shipment or repair;
Shipping and repair costs for a non-defect issue, misuse, or a condition outside warranty are normally the customer’s responsibility.
7. Product-Specific Information
7.1 Mechanical Accuracy and Power Reserve
Mechanical movements have different accuracy and power-reserve specifications. The relevant product page, movement manufacturer specification, or Watchdives published standard applies. Performance within the published accuracy range is normally not considered a manufacturing defect.
Daily mechanical accuracy may be affected by winding level, wearing habits, resting position, temperature, magnetism, and impact. To help assess real-world performance, we may ask the customer, depending on the issue, to fully wind the watch and record daily timekeeping for up to 72 hours at normal room temperature. A single-position timegrapher reading or a brief phone test may be supporting information, but will not be the sole basis for the decision.
A stated power reserve is normally a reference measured under test conditions with a fully wound movement. If power reserve remains materially below the normal range for the movement when fully wound and otherwise functioning normally, please contact us for assessment.
7.2 Quartz and Solar Watches
A quartz battery is a consumable item, and normal battery depletion after use is not a manufacturing defect. If a watch stops because of a low battery within 30 calendar days after delivery, contact us. Once confirmed, we may provide a reasonable battery-replacement allowance, a replacement battery, or another appropriate solution depending on the destination and circumstances.
If the stoppage results from a movement, circuit, hand-interference, or assembly problem, it will be handled under the product warranty. A solar watch that temporarily stops because of insufficient light is normally not defective; a confirmed fault in the charging system, energy-storage component, or electronics may qualify for warranty service.
7.3 Water Resistance
A water-resistance rating is measured under static laboratory pressure and does not represent every dynamic water environment. Water movement, physical activity, impact, temperature change, and seal condition can affect actual performance.
Before water exposure, ensure the crown and pushers are closed or locked as required by the product instructions. Do not operate pushers underwater unless the product is expressly designed for it. Hot water, sauna, steam, and rapid temperature changes can damage the sealing system.
Water resistance is not permanent. After the case has been opened, the battery replaced, the watch serviced, a serious impact occurs, or the watch has been used for an extended period, testing by a competent technician is recommended. Refer to the product page and Watchdives water-resistance guidance for the intended use.
7.4 Appearance, Tolerances, and Natural Materials
Minor production variation that does not affect normal reading, function, or the overall appearance is normally not a manufacturing defect. Reasonable tolerances do not include:
Severe misalignment clearly visible under normal lighting and at a normal viewing distance;
A condition that materially affects reading or function;
Significant dust, foreign material, or scratching inside the dial area;
A material difference from the description or presentation shown at the time of purchase;
A condition clearly outside the published product specification or comparable manufacturing standard.
Natural stone, aventurine, enamel, textured, and hand-finished dials may vary in color, pattern, mineral inclusion, reflectivity, and decorative distribution. These variations make each dial unique and are normally not defects. An undisclosed structural crack, detachment, or material failure may still be assessed.
Bronze naturally oxidizes and develops patina. Titanium may show surface friction marks more readily, and PVD, DLC, painted, and plated finishes may gradually wear at contact points. Normal patina, oxidation, and surface-finish wear are normally not manufacturing defects.
8. Pre-Owned, Display, Clearance, and Imperfect Products
Return periods, functional-coverage periods, condition grades, known issues, included accessories, and assigned return warehouses for pre-owned, display, open-box, clearance, and imperfect products are governed by the product page shown at the time of purchase.
The condition description, disclosed defects, functional statement, and included-accessory list form part of the product description. A cosmetic or functional issue clearly disclosed before purchase is not an undisclosed defect.
If the product has a material functional fault that was not disclosed, materially differs from the description, or is covered by another mandatory quality right, the customer may still contact us under the applicable product-page coverage and local law. A “Final Sale” or “As-Is” label does not remove any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Straps, Bracelets, Clasps, and Other Accessories
Straps, bracelets, clasps, cases, bezels, spring bars, tools, and other accessories do not carry the watch’s 24-month full-product warranty. Unless the product page states otherwise, these accessories include a 6-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects beginning on delivery.
Normal wear, resizing, shortening, punching, installation marks, damage caused during installation, and problems caused by an incorrect size or compatibility choice are not manufacturing defects.
Where a product page states that an accessory fits a particular model, compatibility normally applies only to the specific version identified on that page. If a model has different cases, end links, bracelets, or clasps across versions, review the listing or provide Watchdives with photographs and purchase details before ordering. Watchdives cannot guarantee compatibility with a third-party watch, modified watch, or different production batch unless confirmed in writing.
10. Custom Products
After the customer confirms the final design, specification, and price, a change or cancellation may be requested before Watchdives begins purchasing dedicated materials, making samples, producing, engraving, printing, or otherwise processing the order.
Once work has begun based on the approved requirements, the order normally cannot be changed, canceled, or returned for a change of mind. If cancellation is requested after non-recoverable costs have been incurred, those actual costs may be deducted.
These restrictions do not apply where the delivered product materially differs from the written approved design, specification, or quantity, or has a manufacturing defect.
11. Claim Verification and Duplicate Compensation
To verify a claim and prevent duplicate refunds, replacements, or compensation, Watchdives may reasonably request additional information. Where there is reasonable evidence of product substitution, deliberate damage, duplicate claims, false documentation, or other fraud, processing may be paused while the matter is reviewed.
A customer may not receive duplicate compensation for the same order or loss through a Watchdives refund, replacement, card chargeback, payment-platform compensation, and third-party shipping-protection payment. Please tell Watchdives if a bank or payment-platform dispute has been opened. While that dispute is pending, a refund or replacement for the same loss may be paused to prevent duplicate processing.
Any verification or restriction will be based on the specific order and available evidence and will not prevent a genuine claim involving a manufacturing defect or a mandatory consumer right.
12. Contact
To request a return, exchange, repair, refund, or other after-sales service, contact us through:
Customer service email: service@watchdives.com
The live chat on the Watchdives official website;
A reply to your order-confirmation or shipping-notification email;
The “Contact Us” page on the Watchdives official website.
Please include the order number, product model, issue description, relevant photographs or video, and your current delivery address. Always obtain the correct return address before shipping. Do not send a return to the sender address printed on the original parcel.
13. Statutory Consumer Rights
This policy describes Watchdives’ voluntary return service, limited commercial warranty, and after-sales support. It does not exclude, restrict, or replace consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Consumers in different countries or regions may have additional legal rights to cancel, return, repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund. If any part of this policy conflicts with mandatory consumer law in the customer’s location, that law takes priority. The remaining non-conflicting provisions continue to apply.
