Watchdives Warranty Guide: 24-Month Limited Warranty & Repairs

Watchdives provides a limited product warranty for eligible products purchased through the official Watchdives website. This guide explains the main warranty terms in plain language, how to request service, what information to prepare and where to find the complete policy.

Important: This page is a practical summary, not a replacement for the official policy. The current Refund, Returns, Warranty & Repair Policy, the product page shown at the time of purchase and any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your location take priority.

How Long Is the Watchdives Warranty?

Unless the product page clearly stated otherwise at the time of purchase, a new Watchdives-branded watch purchased through watchdives.com includes a 24-month limited commercial warranty beginning on the actual delivery date.

Warranty periods for third-party branded watches and other third-party products are determined by the product page shown at the time of purchase or the accompanying brand warranty documentation.

Pre-owned, display, accessory, clearance and special promotional products may have different warranty or functional-coverage terms. Check the relevant product page and the official policy for the exact product.

What Does the Limited Warranty Cover?

The limited warranty covers functional problems that are confirmed to result from a material, manufacturing or assembly defect during normal use.

Depending on the product and the confirmed cause, examples may include:

  • Abnormal movement failure or an electronic or solar charging-system defect.
  • Hands, markers, dial components or other internal components becoming detached abnormally.
  • A manufacturing fault affecting the crown, stem, winding, time-setting or calendar mechanism.
  • A GMT, chronograph or other advertised function failing because of a manufacturing defect.
  • A manufacturing defect in a clasp, bracelet connection or structural component.
  • Water ingress confirmed to result from a case, crown, seal or assembly defect when the watch was used correctly and within its stated water-resistance rating.

Every claim is reviewed according to the exact product, reported issue and available evidence.

What Is Normally Not Covered?

Unless mandatory local law provides otherwise, the limited commercial warranty normally does not cover problems caused by ordinary wear, consumable parts, misuse or outside damage rather than a manufacturing defect.

Examples include:

  • Normal wear and aging, scratches, dents, impacts, coating wear, bronze patina or natural material changes.
  • Normal depletion or deterioration of consumable parts such as batteries, gaskets, leather straps or rubber straps.
  • Damage caused by dropping, impact, crushing, magnetism, chemicals, extreme temperature, fire or another external event.
  • Failure to follow operating instructions, including incorrect operation of the crown, calendar, GMT or chronograph functions.
  • Water ingress caused by an unsecured crown, unsupported underwater pusher use, hot water, sauna, steam, rapid temperature change, impact or use beyond the stated rating.
  • Faults or damage directly caused by unauthorized disassembly, modification, repair or incompatible parts.

The complete exclusions and legal wording are set out in the official Refund, Returns, Warranty & Repair Policy.

How Do I Make a Watchdives Warranty Claim?

Before sending a product anywhere, contact Watchdives after-sales service at service@watchdives.com.

Please include:

  • Your Watchdives order number or other information that allows the purchase and delivery date to be verified.
  • The email address used for the order.
  • The product model.
  • A clear description of the problem and when it began.
  • Relevant photos or a short video showing the issue.

Depending on the claim, Watchdives may also request timekeeping records, a repair quotation, packaging photographs or other supporting information.

Do not ship the watch back before receiving return authorization and the correct service address. Watchdives uses multiple return and service locations, so the correct address may differ from the original shipping address.

What Happens After a Warranty Claim Is Approved?

For an eligible warranty issue, the available remedy depends on the fault, repair feasibility, parts availability, stock availability and applicable law.

Watchdives may provide a repair, replacement parts, product replacement, partial refund or refund. A minor issue that can reasonably be restored through repair or parts replacement will normally be handled that way first.

If the original model, color or part has been discontinued, a comparable part or product may be offered. Store credit or another substitute remedy is offered only with the customer's agreement.

Does a Repair Reset the Warranty Period?

A repair or replacement part does not shorten the remaining original warranty period.

If the complete product is replaced, the replacement is covered for the remainder of the original warranty or 90 days from delivery of the replacement, whichever is longer, unless local law provides a longer period.

Is the Warranty Transferable?

Unless the product page stated otherwise, the remaining limited-warranty period may transfer with the product, but a later owner must be able to provide verifiable original order information.

What About Watches Bought Through AliExpress, Amazon or Another Seller?

Products purchased through AliExpress, Amazon, another marketplace, dealer or third-party seller should normally be referred first to the original seller because the sales channel and warranty administration may differ.

This Watchdives warranty guide is primarily for retail products purchased directly through the official Watchdives website.

Does the Warranty Replace Consumer Rights?

No. Mandatory consumer rights that apply under local law are not removed or reduced by the Watchdives limited commercial warranty. Where local law provides greater protection, those mandatory rights take priority.

Warranty vs Return: What Is the Difference?

A warranty claim concerns a possible defect or functional problem. A voluntary return usually concerns a change of mind, size, style or another non-defect reason.

The current Watchdives policy separately covers voluntary returns, exchanges, refunds, warranty claims and repair service. For full terms, read the official policy.
